I never paid much attention to folk art watermelon--then I found this beautiful slice and realized its all about glorious color

Cards measure 2 5/8" x 3 3/8"

and one plain white (cream) side on each

wood is 1/4" thick

1920s Greenich Village Nude Letter Opener white glazed I never paid much attentionMaybe just a little thing, but I love the thought that this was made in Greenwich Village in the 1920s, as signed on reverse transporting one, at least in one's imagination, to a very different time in the life a once very bohemian place, of which the loosely hand drawn nude on the front feel like an apt and spirited embodiment. I really like this. 10 1 4" l x 1 1 4" w, good condition, great patina.
