This Army Dove Head Sword is a very nice example, with some interesting features that we usually do not see. The hilt of this example looks to be nickel, or possibly brass or zinc with a very sturdy nickel plating. It looks to at one time have been gilt, and the nickel under the gold would have made it very attractive.
