KAGAMI Crystal Edo-Kiriko Wine Sake Glass - Red / 江戸切子 ワイン 食前酒 グラス K7-1499 2 x 19 (height) cmLook closely and the pattern seems to move a square basket weave cut so it looks like it's pushing forward from behind soft curtain folds, the two motifs layered rather than simply side by side. It's a playful bit of engineering: traditional Edo Kiriko geometry set against something closer to drapery, cut into vivid amber crystal. Poured with wine, the effect shifts with every turn of the glass, making it as much a piece to look at as to drink from.
