In 1941, the British Houses of Parliament sustained some Air Raid damage, to the great dismay of the nation. To increase morale the rubble from the original old stone work was immediately re purposed into an assortment of items and offered for sale. Here is an impressive set of stone bookends made from some of this old stonework. Each of the two pieces bears a two and a half inch wide cast metal medallion authenticating
