1893 Chicago World's Fair Montenard Painting Well Cows ORIGINAL HISTORIC FAIR3 YLMC2 horticultural court"On the Brink of the Well." This is an original 1893 halftone print of a painting by Frederic Montenard which hung in the southeast corner of Gallery 53 of the French Section in the Art Palace of the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. (Please note that, typical of halftone prints, there is printing on the reverse.)
