1948 Original Serigraph Finnish Farm Rug Design Art Chickens Leaves DAW1 XGC2 Canadian ProductsThis is an original 1948 four color serigraph of a design from a hooked rug (owned by Robert Neal and Edgar Hellum of the Pendarvis House in Mineral Point, Wisconsin). The motif comprises roosters and plant botanical imagery; this type of design was common of pioneer rugs originally made by Finnish women in Northern Wisconsin. Period Paper has obtained an interesting and rare collection of serigraphs (a silk screen process) deaccessioned from a major
