Golden Spike National Historical Park Bolihua Ornament ELMA and we’re proud to offerThis glass ornament is unique because it is hand painted using a process called bolihua, a reverse glass painting technique that has been practiced in China since the early 18th century. The painting is done from the inside through the holes at the top and bottom of the glass globe using special narrow brushes and pointed sticks.
