Jacques Brel * A La Radio [New LP] Soul/R & B Herb Alpert Presents is re-releasingIn 1954 and 1956, the radio recorded Jacques Brel's first live performances in the cabarets Chez Genevive and Chez Gilles. Accompanied only by his guitar, the newcomer to Paris delivered, with the confidence of a future star, his first compositions, including the song Quand on n'a que l'amour, captured here several months before the studio recording that would be released as a 45 rpm. A real gem! In July 1965, at the height of his career, Jacques Brel
